This CCW Course satisfies the NEW California (SB2) 16-hour training requirements as set pursuant to the standards in PC 26165, which includes a qualification with the firearm(s) you wish to place on your CCW permit. You MUST qualify with each firearm you want to have on your CCW.

  • What to Bring

  • Please read this entire section carefully.

  • A Warm Jacket (our A/C is not a joke)

  • Valid government-issued photo ID

  • Your firearm(s) — leave them secured in your vehicle until instructed

  • No ammunition allowed in the classroom

  • At least 2 magazines (or speed loaders for revolvers)

  • Ammunition: Minimum 80 rounds for the first firearm + 30 rounds per additional firearm (full metal jacket only — no Wolf, WPA, or Tula)

  • Quality holster with good retention for each firearm you want to qualify with (Kydex preferred; no flimsy or SERPA holsters unless approved by your agency)

  • Eye and ear protection (we can provide if you do not have your own)

  • Closed-toe shoes and long pants for range day (no flip-flops, sandals, shorts, or tank tops)

  • Snacks or lunch (we provide lunch breaks)

  • Please read this section entirely. This is not a beginner course. Students must be able to safely manipulate and fire a handgun. Careless or unsafe gun handling is not acceptable and will result in immediate removal from the class or range with no refund.

  • No spectators allowed

  • No pets allowed

  • If you are a felon, you are not permitted in the classroom or on the range for any reason, nor may you be in possession of a firearm under federal law.

  • Course Description Signing up for a course does not guarantee you will pass. You must demonstrate safe firearm handling, pass a shooting qualification of 70% or better, and pass a written test. Any unsafe demonstration of firearm handling may disqualify you from the course without refund.
