This CCW Course satisfies the NEW California (SB2) 16-hour training requirements as set pursuant to the standards in PC 26165, which includes a qualification with the firearm(s) you wish to place on your CCW permit. You MUST qualify with each firearm you want to have on your CCW.

  • What to Bring

  • Please read this entire section carefully.

  • Day 1 – Classroom Day

  • A Warm Jacket (our AC is not a joke)

  • Valid government-issued photo ID

  • Holster for each firearm (required only if your agency mandates it; not required for LAPD or LASD)

  • Your firearm(s) — leave them secured in your vehicle until instructed

  • No ammunition allowed in the classroom

  • Parking is first-come, first-served (gate parking). Please drive smaller vehicles — large trucks or SUVs may need to park on the street.

  • Be on time. Class starts promptly at 8:00 AM. Late arrivals must reschedule (rescheduling fee applies).

  • Day 2 – Range Qualification Day And Classroom

  • A Warm Jacket (our AC is not a joke)

  • Valid government-issued photo ID

  • At least 2 magazines (or speed loaders for revolvers)

  • Your firearm(s) — whatever you want to qualify with for your CCW permit

  • Ammunition (see details below)

  • Note: Range day may be postponed due to weather (rain). You will be notified.

  • Prerequisite & Important Notice

  • Please read this section entirely. Signing up for a course does not guarantee you will pass. You must demonstrate safe firearm handling, pass a shooting qualification of 70% or better, and pass a written test. Any unsafe demonstration of firearm handling may disqualify you from the course without refund.

  • This is not a beginner course. Students must be able to safely manipulate and fire a handgun. Careless or unsafe gun handling is not acceptable and will result in immediate removal from the class or range with no refund.

  • Additional requirements:

  • No pregnant women (for safety)

  • No spectators or pets allowed

  • Felons are not permitted in the classroom or on the range (federal law)

  • For FL and AZ CCW, you will receive a different certificate which meets the requirements for that particular states CCW training (this is an add-on course and NOT included).

  • Range Day (what to wear) Close-toed Shoes (no flip flops or sandals).  long Pants (no shorts or tank tops)

  • Eyes & ear protection (at the range to use if you do not have your own)

  • Target(s)

  • YOU MUST pass the written test and the range qualification.

  • Current and valid Drivers License or Identification card.

  • List of firearms (make, model, serial number)

  • Wealth of knowledge 

  • YOU MUST pass the written test, the range qualification, and demonstrate safe firearm handling and know how your firearm works in order to pass, no exemptions.

  • Firearm(s).

  • Ammunition - At least 80 rounds for 1st firearm and 30 rounds for each additional qualifying firearm. 

All ammunition must be full metal jacket (New). No Wolf, WPA or Tula ammunition allowed. YOU NEED to score at the range at least 70% to pass.

  • At least 2 Magazines or 2 revolver speed loaders (not the strips)

  • Eye & Ear Protection

  • Good Holster with retention, THIS IS REQUIREMENT SET FORTH BY THE DEPARTMENTS. (Kydex preferred). NO flimsy or SERPA holsters. (not mandated by LAPD or LASD)
